New Semi Auto Terrapin Habitat

The terrapin has got bigger yet again and this time i can no longer manually do the water change as that would mean carrying over 60kg of water each time i do so.

I decided to invest in a good quality flood pump (suck water from the bottom) and set it up to a drainage and water supply system. Further enhancement could be made with a timed switch to make the system automatic. i decided to go with the semi auto method for now.

$166 for a Tsurumi Pump. A japanese brand that is famous for reliability and produces all ranges of industrial pump. This is their smallest pump.

1. switch on the pump and let the filthy water drain.

2. flow in fresh water and drain until clean.

3. switch pump off and add fresh water

4. Happy terrapin!
