The perpetually sold out XiaoMi Powerbank

Yes, i got my hands on the Mi power bank through a friend F-code. Basically an F code is issued by Xiaomi for you to guarantee a products and for you to skip the crazy online queue. To cut the story short, these unbelievably cheap and high quality powerbank are very difficult to come by because Xiaomi only sell them online. Most reseller  in sim lim and Qoo10 are stock with imitations or from dubious origin. 

Why are these powerbank so sought after. Firstly its the price. $13.90 SGD for the 10400mh and $8.90 for the 5200mh. Second, its the quality, Xiaomi uses original LG Korea made batteries technology and Texas instrument design PCB. And it comes in a anodized aluminium case! 

no way any manufacturer can match these quality at this kind of price. i doubt Mi makes any money from the stuff and more likely sell it for brand building purposes. Their intended money maker are probably their phones and tablets.

i used the 10400mh for a week and i managed to full charge my iphone5 x  6.5 times over !
